B. Diane (Wassil) Louvar passed away peacefully on June 25th, 2023, at 85 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred (Cupec) and Nicholas Wassil. Diane is survived by her faithful husband of 62 years, Joseph; four children, Joyce (Gary Chester), Edmund (Susan), George (Rebecca), and Claire (Cristino Canga); eight grandchildren, Grayson, Jack, Elizabeth, Melissa, Diane, Michael, Emma and Aidan; her sister, Joyce Ryan, her children and their families.
She was born in Pennsylvania and lived in Michigan for 45 years. She studied at Mount Mercy College (Carlow University), Carnegie Mellon, and Wayne State University. After retiring from Madonna University, her final years were spent in Wisconsin. She loved her family, was well-educated, and did charitable work with Catholic Extension Society and Guild for the Blind. Diane was a woman of strong Catholic faith.
