Bethany Welch

Sr. Bethany J. Welch, Ph.D., is a Sister of St. Joseph of Philadelphia currently serving at a transitional housing program for college students experiencing homelessness and as a research fellow studying the adaptive reuse of church property to address the U.S. housing crisis. She is a "later life" vocation, having entered her community after many years in nonprofit management, research, and community-based social justice work.
