I have a strong stomach. But, this op-ed from WalMart nearly put me over the edge this morning. If you didn't know better, you would think WalMart is just the most altruistic company around, with a strong sense of community, and not the kind of enterprise that would let crass concerns for profit deviate them from their noble goals or, in the event, earning a mention in an op-ed. They now threaten not to build three of their six planned stores here in DC if DC passes a "living wage" law. I hope they go further and refuse to open the three that are already nearing completion. There should be more Walmart-free cities in America.
