Holly Taylor Coolman is one of my favorites among the rising generation of young theologians. Her cast of mind is actually quite different from mine: She is far more comfortable moving into the nitty, gritty details of personal life in her writing than I am. Her wonderful essay at "Third Day Theology" is an example of how she combines her prodigious learning with an enormous sympathy for the facts of a given case, in this instance, the issue of abortion. The next time you hear someone rant about a "war on women," you might want to recommend this article to them.
