An interesting and very conservative view of the Francis papacy through the lens of the views of the late Cardinal Martini by John Vennari at Catholic Family News.
If one accepts, as the writer contends, that homosexuality is a "temptation" that one can resist or avoid, then much of the piece and his distress makes sense.
One suspects, however, that people like Martini and perhaps Francis are realizing that in order to avoid the "temptation" of homosexuality one would have to avoid oneself, that indeed homosexuality is a whole order of reality deeper than any temptation.
