Fr. Michael Ryan, pastor of St. James Cathedral in Seattle, Wash., reportedly was given the choice -- as were all pastors in the archdiocese -- to decide whether to distribute a petition to repeal the state's marriage equality law, which permits same sex marriage. He chose not to. Read more here.
