As we approach the August 6th and 9th anniversaries of the nuclear bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, I wonder how many people even take notice of these dates? ...
Nuclear weapons stand at the top of the pyramid of violence and continue to hang heavily over our lives. When a social evil such as this is allowed to continue, it creates a sense of powerlessness and resignation. We as the world's citizens must condemn them. Not from the standpoint of ideology or nationality, but from the universal dimension of humanity.
