Almost from the day he joined the Senate, I've kept an eye on Ted Cruz, a particularly pernicious new force in the U.S. body politic. I get Cruz updates through my Google alerts and am seldom less than amazed at his brashness, destructiveness and self-satisfying manners. Today on the New Yorker website, David Denby writes a penetrating profile of the man. You might check it out.
