The organization that promotes traditionalist Catholicism announced that the Napa Legal Institute will help connect healthcare and education nonprofits with "Catholic lawyers who can provide legal counsel on corporate, tax and other non-litigation matters."

Global Sisters Report is focusing on human trafficking and the solutions via education, advocacy and support that Catholic sisters around the world do. NCR carries this story from Catholic News Service today about recent a daylong human trafficking conference hosted on Capitol Hill by the National Advocacy Center of the Sisters of the Good Shepherd, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops and the District of Columbia Baptist Convention.

Being assigned to a hill tribe in Mae Jam, Chiang Mai, a northern area of Thailand, changed the life of Sr. Marie Agnes Buasap, a Sister of St. Paul de Chartres. Her congregation has been in Thailand for 120 years and has 22 schools for students from kindergarten to high school. In 2013, they formed Talitha Kum Thailand to combat trafficking.

In immigration news: The U.S. government must account for family members separated at border (which started in the summer of 2017) by October.

The chairmen of two U.S. bishops' committees said July 3 they oppose a proposed rule by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that they say would lead to separation or housing instability for many families.
