Our latest Soul Seeing column is by Mark Etling and looks at the mystery of suffering. He writes: "Everyone wants to know: What's God got to do with it? Job has something to tell us. Far from being the good man who suffers patiently, Job is angry, depressed and bitter about the terrible things that have befallen him."

Louis Farrakhan's appearance at a high-profile Chicago Catholic church resulted in condemnations by Jewish leaders and by Chicago Cardinal Blase Cupich for the Nation of Islam leader's past anti-Semitic comments, "outright slander" and hate speech.

Sounds good: This Western Washington trek was aimed at "viruses of fear, greed, envy, racism and bigotry."

Sr. Sheila Kinsey advocates for Earth through Sowing Hope for the Planet, which "coordinates experiences that provide the sisters and their connections the opportunities to become painfully aware of the needs of our common home so as to dare to turn what is happening to the world into their own personal suffering and thus to discover what each of us can do about it."

Sr. Shiroma Kurumbalapitiya: "We Sri Lankans collaborate with one another in celebrating each other's religious festivals. But with this violent incident on Easter Sunday, our unity and identity have been tarnished."
